Thanksgiving Is Over!!

Well, I'm glad we got through it!! Turkey day was a stay at home day for me, since Brad had to work. I made meatloaf!! We invited over a few friends whose family went out of town, and everyone enjoyed the meal, and the company. Kirra loved having all those people to look at!! Unfortunately, it also left me with a horrible mess to clean up... and I left the house early on Friday (which was a huge mistake, read on) so the mess never really got cleaned up until last night. Atleast there's no mold growing :P

Kirra's six month portraits were taken on Monday, they all turned out so adorable!! Now we just need to get the money to go get the humongous package we want. I cannot believe how big she is getting so fast!! She doesn't want to roll over anymore, but boy will she sit forever! I'm learning how to let her fall over... I realize she has to learn someday.

Well, my brain has come to a standstill at the moment. I'll be back later.....

November So Far...

I caught my baby girl up on hands and knees today!! I walk away for two minutes, and when I come back, there she was! Of course, she wouldn't do it again for the rest of the day... but there's always tomorrow. I'm still afraid to let her sit up by herself... I have to sit with her or put her in the boppy pillow. Too many bonks on the head lately have me paranoid! She's just getting so good at it. It feels like I have to let her go already, and I only just started!!

Our landlords are sleaze. I won't get into the details... but I will say that they raised our rent by $100 without officially notifying us in writing, and without making any improvements to our apartment. I can't take a shower unless it's really late at night/early in the morning or Sunday and Monday because the water temperature is predicted by the restaurant. Expect to get scalded, or frozen. The windows and doors are drafty. And the roaches. Ugh. I put traps down, and still they come. GET US OUT OF HERE! The Pinkin needs her own room!! Not to mention a safe place to play on the floor. We have an application in to a really nice place, conveniently located between family and work, please pray that we're chosen. I can't get my hopes up, just to have them dashed again.

I'm also anxiously awaiting the arrival of my nephew! After seeing how becoming a mom changed me, I'm looking forward to seeing the changes in my sister. It should be interesting to view it from the other side this time. Only 21 more days... or so. I'm sure she's hoping for less.

Welcome to Our Family!

Ohana means family. And that means nobody gets left behind, or forgotten. That's what the family we are trying to build is all about. We are all important, and no one contributes more or less than the other. I keep our home together. The pantry is stocked, the towels are clean, and the baby is happy!! He keeps me happy :) and works hard to establish our place in this world. Kirra, well.... she is the light that keeps our shadowy little corner bright and sunny!! She's amazing, I can't get enough of her. She learns something new every single day, and always knows how to make me laugh.
There's so much to tell!! Hope you keep coming back, because it means you're a very special friend to our family, and if there's anything in this world that a person needs more than love, it's good friends.
